Minister Andrew Wommack

I recently attended a Gospel Truth Seminar in-which Minister Andrew Wommack taught on “The New and Living Way” based on Hebrews Chapter 10:19-23. Andrew Wommack’s teachings of The Book of Hebrews’ purpose to transition a person from The Old Covenant to The New Covenant truly cuts through all the hypocritical “Legalism” of traditional religion and gets right to the heart- beat of God’s relationship with his children. “God is not mad at you” Wommack stated “He’s not even in a bad mood.” Wommack began his teaching describing how if we really understood Hebrews 10 it would challenge our beliefs, that from his experience”Most people do not let the Bible get in the way of what they believe.” People’s belief system is based on example, assimilation. They let tradition and doctrines of Men void the Word of God. He explained how we do not need to fear God but rather can embrace a total different approach toward God. Hebrews10:19 states to approach God with boldness, to enter the Holy of Holies by the blood of Jesus.

What-no fear? No pleading to be forgiven? No confession? Could it be God knows all our faults and loves us like a father loves his child? So, what’s the catch? Living in a cynical society and hearing how those born again people are just “Jesus freaks”-it takes some doing to undo all that prejudging and doubt. Especially when tithing or giving a donation. How many times can you count someone saying”They just want your money?” But wait, Andrew Wommack gives free c.d.’s and tapes to those who cannot afford them-maybe this ministry is not out for a fast buck but is actually paying out of pocket to spread the good news-which by the way is The Gospel.

For this “baby” Christian, hearing Andrew speak on the difference and purposes of the old and new testament and how by Jesus ultimate sacrifice-we have been forgiven and set free, set me free. We no longer are required to follow the strict regulations and rituals of the old testament, or feel unworthy,or be desperate to do as much good as possible to in some way make up for all our sins. God has shown us Grace, a most precious gift-something we do not deserve but already possess, we just need to acknowledge it and be grateful. This is eye opening to say the very least. We do not need to fear God but be bold in our relationship with him. God wants you to prosper, to be healthy and happy. He knows all your past, present, and future faults, and Loves you anyways.
